In this program, the student simultaneously completes the associate degree in nursing and the BSN. Graduates are BSN-workforce ready with less student cost/debt and in numbers that reflect increased ethnic diversity.

As RN resources are more strained than ever, the role of the clinical technician is a key component to RN retention and care delivery. By designing a program that incentivizes clinical technicians to up-skill and take an enhanced role in completion of highly technical skills such as 12 Lead EKGS and phlebotomy they enable the nurse to perform higher level functioning at top of licensure. Racism as a Preventable Harm is an innovative way of addressing this systemic issue in healthcare and stop the cycle of medical negligence and harm to Black people. Acknowledging the existence and effects of racism in healthcare requires awareness on multiple levels. By using the existing preventable harm framework and updating it to include evidence-based and antiracist interventions we are providing a new lens to see how to prevent further trauma to patients, families and team members.

Through thoughtful implementation of predictive analytics, we improved our ability to identify patients at higher risk for falling, decreased ICU transfer rate, and improved sepsis treatment. In addition to improving patient outcomes, we have decreased documentation burden by eliminating manual processes that were previously required. As early adopters of these innovations, we are helping to create a framework for other organizations to use as they implement these tools into clinical practice.
