Demystifying Hand Hygiene Compliance across the Healthcare Continuum of Care

During this webinar, participants will be exposed to the core elements of Hand Hygiene best practices for both the healthcare provider and support team as well as strategies to engage patients in the hand hygiene program. The program will identify key obstacles to compliance, discuss evidence-based approaches to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction, and review ideal strategies for hand hygiene product placement and usage monitoring across the healthcare continuum of care.
 
Learning Objectives:
1) Review the core elements of a hand hygiene program for healthcare settings from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).
2) Discuss evidence based strategies to improve compliance with hand hygiene amongst healthcare providers and support staff, and also engage the patient and their families in the program.
3) Review strategies to ensure proper access, placement within traffic and patient flow, and usage monitoring in an effort to reduce overall Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs).
