Health care workers are more likely to be subjected to workplace violence than workers in any other industry. Leveraging the expertise of top subject matter experts in the field, IAHSS and ASHE have created a new, first-of-its-kind program focused on effective workplace violence prevention programs. This 4-hour course was developed for health care facility managers. At its foundation is the successful IAHSS workplace violence prevention program – now modified and enhanced with specialty content for facility managers. Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to: - Explain the prevalence of workplace violence in health care, including the unique risks health care workers face and why it is more prevalent in this industry compared to others.
