Description
The 27th annual edition of the Aon/ASHRM Hospital and Physician Professional Liability Benchmark Analysis is intended to be a practical decision-support tool for healthcare risk managers, helping them better understand their own organization’s cost of risk in relation to industry benchmarks. The report analyzes hospital professional liability (HPL) and physician professional liability (PPL) claims data, comprising 115,000 non-zero claims that occurred between 2016 and 2025 and representing $29.2 billion in incurred losses. The database includes 11,000 non-zero general liability (GL) claims totaling $719.2 million in incurred losses that occurred between 2016 and 2025.
