ASHE Quick Training: Fire and Smoke Dampers

Quick Training Courses are based on providing the learner with quick on-the-go training. The learner will gain knowledge without significant time commitment; the training should be concluded within 15-20 minutes. The courses will introduce the learner to the specific system, explain of why it is important for the system to work properly, and the steps for proper inspection.

 

Learn about the basic components of fire, smoke, and combination fire/smoke dampers, some of the requirements of NFPA 80, as well as NFPA 105. Discover how to inspect, test, and maintain the various types of fire and smoke dampers, including tools to help identify various types of installed dampers.
