The Introduction to Health Care Supply Chain eLearning bundle is comprised of two courses and are recommended for those professionals new to health care supply chain or looking for a refresher. 
 
1. Introduction to Health Care Supply Chain: Supply Chain Basics (Part I)
"Supply Chain Basics" introduces the fundamentals of health care supply chain management and its flow of products, information and money.
 
This four-module self-directed course leads learners to outline health care supply chain’s core services, the principles of provider/supplier partnerships and subsequent internal customer support. The course provides an in-depth look at the functions of a health care supply chain including planning, sourcing, contracting, buying, receiving, and paying and how optimization and execution ultimately leads to improved patient care and higher reimbursement outcomes, leading still to continued improvement of insight and structure.

The course is highly recommended for those new to the field as they begin to understand the complex inter-professional nature of supply chain and the urgent need of its services.

2. Introduction to Health Care Supply Chain: Strategizing and Using Your Resources (Part II)
The second part of the Introduction to Health Care Supply Chain moves from the fundamentals to discovering ten areas of infrastructure that hold it all together.
 
Consider the various infrastructure measures and strategies required for operations to continue, and follow a customer engagement framework from needs assessment and buy-in to project assessment and customer experience enhancement. Corresponding is the appropriate engagement of suppliers to assist in internal time-management and continuous improvement of programs.

The "Strategizing and Using Your Resources Introduction to Health Care Supply Chain" course reveals a variety of necessary discussions and considerations needed to have a full understanding of a successful organization including:

Continuing Education Credit
Upon completion of the "Introduction to Health Care Supply Chain Bundle" course requirements, offered by  AHRMM, participants may earn up to 4  AHRMM qualified continuing education credits (CECs) toward recertification of the Certified Material & Resource Professional (CMRP) designation and up to 4 ACHE Qualified Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.
